What an important reminder of the deceitfulness of sin. It has made me wonder, what sin is it in my life that I have “given into” so much so, that I even consider it acceptable?

I particularly liked the advice; about not being despondent about people and ones own "flaws" but to cast one self on the understanding and acceptance of the Lord, because He is the only one that will fully know all the various flaws and to make sense of the person talking ... and in His understanding can make a right assessment. A good summary of Charnock - enough so that I am tempted to read his story. God bless your study of this topic. Amen.
